Elpida (translated in Greek – “hope”) built in 1965 and has a length of 63 meters, brought from Greece, is the largest of the five ships sunk off the coast of Cyprus to create reefs. The ship was sunk in front of the Palm Beach hotel in Larnaca, about two kilometers from the shore, at a depth of 30 meters.
